“I started my Blog in 2009, I had been in the habit of sending an email to the congregation that occasionally included an article. My daughter (Lauren Perkins Underwood) suggested I write a blog so I did. The blog has evolved over the years and at this time contains about 600 articles.
I always sign off of my articles as “Uncle Rob.” Several of the kids I know referred to me as “Uncle Rob” so I adopted that moniker.
The blog has also gone worldwide. There are over 70,000 views from almost every country in the world. I realize religious articles aren’t for everyone but they are for some.
My stimulus for writing articles has been from my daily Bible reading, preparing for classes that I teach and sitting in classes that others teach as a student.
In addition, as you will see, I have used my work as a Veterinarian to illustrate biblical principles.
My great friend and mentor Robert Harkrider is the one who encouraged me to publish the articles in book form.
I have served over 30 years as an Elder with David Smitherman and he has really shaped my thinking. Although we don’t agree on every single thing I have great respect for him and have learned so much from him. I love the years I spent with him.
I sincerely hope that in some small way you might benefit from the way I view the scriptures. To God be the glory!”
